She got arrested Wednesday. She admitted forgery of > 160 checks. She does not have any money left (7 new horses, two new trucks...). She will get maximum 4-6 years in prison, but more likely get out in a year or so for "good behavoiur". Oh yes, and police found in her house paperwork - some informatioin of a woman about her age, who recently died, her social security number, etc - she was trying to change her identity. She told police "well, my credit record was ruined, anyway"

the strangest thisng is that they didn't even have to "find" her - she was all this time in her house...

If I stole that much money, and police called me, and visited, and I knew that I will be arrestsed soon - I would go somewhere to other state. I don;t know what she was thinking!

had I stolen a lot of money I'd move to Mexico, at least for a while.

that's what I am saying, too! How can you keep living at the same place after police visited you and you know you are gonna go to jail??? I guess, she didn't have much brainpower left after figuring out how to do all that stealing :)
